Artzooka
is a half hour series blending live action and animation to show kids that art
is everywhere. Everything can be used to create art and that there is an artist
in each one of them.
Although the target age group is 6 – 9, adults can also
have fun with Artzooka! It all depends on how you look at it. You can also
modify their methods and techniques to create an art suitable to your age; but
why bother? After all, we’re all kids!
Here, I listed my top 10 favorite Artzooka Makes that can
be a perfect gift to anybody! A gift personally made by you is way better that
the ones you just bought. So, lets start!
Materials: cardboard box, scissors, white tracing paper,
clear tape, black construction paper, black marker, hole punch, pencil,
modeling clay, flashlight
See procedure.
The thing I like about this art work is that you can
create a story and play with it. You can make your friend’s favorite characters
(might be from cartoons, anime, or stories). You can modify the theatre to
depict a scene from a show or a story.
Materials: clear empty bottle, scissors, piece of white
paper, pencil, paint, paintbrushes, ruler, dark crayon, stir stick, small bowl
of cooking oil, glue stick, small battery-powered light.
See procedure.
The fun thing about this art is you can paint a design
depending on your friend’s personality or favorites. Play with the colors! You can also try
different sizes and shapes of a plastic bottle.
Materials: cardboard tubes, scissors, masking tape,
recycled juicebox, 2 straws that bend, paper towel, glue mix / paper mache
paste, paintbrush, paint
See procedure.
Weird? No. Just creative! You can also give your friend
an idea for a new collection!
Materials: styrofoam balls, toothpicks, paperclips, fun
foam, pencil, scissors, crayons, markers, paint
See procedure.
This art work can go with Artzooka Pal, but this is much
cuter! You can modify this and make them as key chains.
Materials: 8 small wooden blocks, clear tape, white
sticker paper, markers
See procedure.
This is a nice way to have fun. You can make short story
with the images or you can relay a message just for your special someone! Just
use your imagination!
Materials: T-shirt, four pieces of cardboard, duct tape,
old sheer curtaing, paper, masking tape, wax paper, craft paint, ruler
See procedure.
If they love shirts, they will love this art! Just make
sure your design will suit their personality.
Materials: Styrofoam plate, LED light, white mini pizza
table, cut-off bottom of a plastic bottle, round tinfoil container, scissors,
metallic paper, clear tape, watch battery
See procedure.
This art is almost magical. You can explore using
different molds and colors.
Materials: 4 empty square tissue boxes, scissors, pencil,
construction paper, glue, masking tape, pictures of memories
See procedure.
This art is perfect for couples and friends that had been together for years. I'm sure you got tons of memories you love to treasure!
Materials: tiny toys and objects, clear plastic cup,
clear recycled plastic, marker, pencil, scissors, modeling clay, tiny pebbles,
bigger pebbles, pipe cleaner, scotch tape
See procedure.
Put your dreams in a cup! You can create a miniature place you both want to venture. You can also create a miniature copy of that special place you both treasure!
Materials: 4 long sticks (approximately 8”), 8 short
sticks (approximately 4”), twine or string, twist ties, slices of dried oranges,
modeling clay, scissors, small table lamp or LED light
See procedure.
This one is really cool; definitely for everyone! Not just
kids would love it, maybe your lovers too!
Giving gifts are not about spending a lot of money. Sure
you can always buy ready made stuffs from a store. They could really be cool or
cute. But personally made gifts could be much more appreciated because you gave
it a lot of thought and effort. Aside
from making your gift unique and personalized, it can also make the one you
care much about feel that you really love them.
So what are you waiting for? Have fun with art! Create
your own perfect gifts the Artzooka way!
